Exciting internship opportunity in Brooklyn with Distinguished Programs. Interns will have the ability to work outside perfecting their summer tans while also enjoying all of Brooklyn’s great food options for lunch! Creating a great experience for our customers and ourselves is what makes us Distinguished. Distinguished interns will be an integral part of something new; helping Distinguished launch its community-based approach to marketing our brand and selling our services.
As a Distinguished intern, you’ll be part of a motivated team that works together to analyze risks throughout Brooklyn’s Borough Park neighborhood. Interns will work in pairs of two walking the streets of Brooklyn to observe exterior building conditions, measure sidewalk conditions and record visual observations. You will collect data on exterior building conditions, spending 4 days out of the week in the field observing, assessing and photographing buildings and sidewalks, and one day reviewing the data in Distinguished’s Brooklyn office. Assignments will be made at the start of the project, allowing you the flexibility to create your own schedule in the field while prioritizing your own availability.
Project will begin in May and continue through August. Work approximately 40 hours per week. You will be required to have a smartphone or tablet. You must be self-driven, detail-oriented, and possess strong organizational skills including time management and prioritization. Travel to and from Brooklyn required, as well as lots of walking!
Hourly Rate: $15
