We are seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to support day‑to‑day accounting operations within our Accounting & Finance team. This role assists with core accounting activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting support, and Workday Financials processes while gaining exposure to budgeting and forecasting.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare routine journal entries and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities
  • Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support general ledger activities
  • Assist with audit requests by compiling documentation and preparing support schedule
  • Support budgeting and forecasting data collection and template updates
  • Partner with team members to consolidate financial information and monitor spending trends
  • Help prepare variance analyses and periodic financial reports
  • Utilize Workday Financials for reporting, data entry, and process improvements
  • Assist in troubleshooting Workday issues and support enhancements under direction of senior team members
  • Participate in Workday training and help educate teammates on basic system functionality


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 2+ years of accounting experience (internships or corporate accounting preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups)
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and US GAAP
  • Experience with budgeting/forecasting processes is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills


LOCATION
  • NYC, hybrid schedule – 2-3 days in office

COMPENSATION AND PERKS
  • $70,000-$85,000 base salary plus bonus. Salary commensurate with knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location
